Wound Tight started with a simple goal: to make racquet stringing easier, faster, and more affordable for players in NYC.

I saw the same issues over and over — overpriced stringing, long turnaround times, and the hassle of getting to and from the shop. So we built something better.

About the Stringer

I’ve been playing tennis since I was 7 years old. I grew up competing in junior tournaments, played a year of Division 1 college tennis, and still hit the courts regularly around NYC through USTA leagues and casual hits with friends.

I started stringing racquets when I was 14, and over the last decade, I’ve strung just about every racquet and string out there — now for more than 250 players across the city. I know how much a fresh string job matters because I’m still out there playing, too.
